It is not easy to take the first step in contacting a therapist. There are several concerns that make it difficult : ‘are my issues serious enough to go to therapy?’, ‘I should be able to do it by myself…’, ‘I don’t know if I will be able to explain myself…’, ‘maybe the therapist won’t understand me, I don’t even understand myself’. These are several of the many concerns that can appear before taking the first step of contacting a therapist. It is important to know that these first concerns that appear are a natural part of the process, and talking about them to your therapist will help you feel more calm and relax in the sessions.
It is important for me to create an environment in which you feel comfortable to talk about the issues that bring you to therapy, where you feel free to be yourself and confident enough to open and express your deepest fears and concerns.

La primera sesión siempre es una primera valoración para hablar de los temas que te inquietan, para identificar si la terapia es la mejor opción para tratarlos y para identificar qué tipo de terapia vas a necesitar, la intensidad y la duración aproximada.
